About

Founded in 1993, Rustravel is one of the companies that make up the Swiss Center Group. We are located in Marata Street, quite close to Nevsky Prospect, in a mansion designed by the Swiss architect Federico Augusto Lange (1818-1881).

Rustravel specialises in custom-designed educational and cultural tours for organisations and businesses, guests of the Hotel Helvetia and for tourists in general. Depending on visitors’ requirements, we offer tours and excursions based on our own extensive knowledge of Russia. They aren’t standardised, but rather arranged according to clients’ own particular interests. Among our major specialities is acquainting visitors with Russia’s history and culture. We find that visitors from Europe particularly enjoy learning about the many historical points of contiguity between Russia, Switzerland and other European countries. 

The president of the Swiss Centre Group and the director of the Rustravel, Mrs Madelein Luethi (an honorary consul general of Switzerland from 1998 till 2006) has made a significant contribution to strengthening cultural and business ties between Russia and Switzerland and to development of St Petersburg's tourist sector.
